Coach Cole Briggs

PGA of Canada Teaching Professional and Director of Instruction at Play First Golf

Coach Cole was born and raised in Langley. He started playing golf at age 6 and began competing at age 9.

Cole competed in tournaments throughout his junior years. He eventually joined the golf team at the University of the Fraser Valley from 2015 to 2019 and won two Division Championships and two National Championships with his team.

Cole has experience teaching golfers of all skill levels, with an extensive background working with kids of the beginner and intermediate levels. Over the last 5 years, Cole’s junior coaching has been heavily influenced by the games and theory of Discover Golf. This style of coaching uses the power of play to teach kids not only how to golf, but also how to gain confidence and become leaders.

Cole has a passion for coaching kids and is working towards his Class “A” Status with the PGA of Canada, specializing in Coaching.​​​

Senior Game Engineer

Hi! I’ve been playing golf for about 7 years now, and it’s become one of my biggest passions. I got into the sport thanks to my uncle, who’s a golf coach. He introduced me to the game, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I have spent the last 4 years competing on the UFV women’s golf team, which has really helped me grow as a player and deepen my love for the game. Now, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned by teaching juniors and hosting ladies night clinics.

My goal is to create a fun, relaxed space where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or looking to take your game to the next level. I love helping others build confidence on the course and enjoy the game as much as I do!

Brand Ambassador & Administrative Coordinator

Hey, I’m Sarah, Cole’s wife and co-founder of Play First Golf.

I’ve been alongside Cole through his championship tournaments and university golf years, and now as he has transitioned into coaching. Being surrounded by the game for so many years - on the course, summer camps and in everyday conversations - has allowed me to develop a strong understanding of golf and junior development. This experience has made stepping into this role feel like a natural and exciting next step.

Cole and I have been working behind the scenes with intention and heart, thinking through every detail to create a golf company that feels different, in the best way. Our goal is to build something that lasts, something people naturally gravitate toward, and something we’re proud to stand behind. We’re aiming high, and we’re just getting started.
